Join us this Wednesday, October 8th from 6 to 10 pm at Rocas for art therapy workshops with Nashama.
As always we will create a space for radical conversations and community building, but this time we will also unite to make a collective painting in a workshop based on Al Hub Forum’s encampment experience.
“The idea of collective paintings embodies a metaphorical struggle that encapsulates the broader experiences and emotions of a community. In the context of Palestinian art, this metaphorical struggle reflects the historical, social, and psychological challenges faced by the community amidst the struggle for collective liberation, particularly in light of the 1948 Nakba and ongoing catastrophes. Comrades overcoming intricacies on a canvas plays a significant role and impact on the finished piece, mirroring collective struggle itself”.
